Yes, 4 column radiators give more heat per section than 3 column. The extra column depth adds surface area, increasing BTU output for the same height and section count. Choose 3 column for standard rooms with moderate heat demand, 4 column for period rooms, high ceilings or harder-to-heat spaces.
Are 4 column radiators available with feet?

4 column cast iron radiators are available with feet. The Victoriana 4 Column is a freestanding model that stands on four cast iron feet. This gives a traditional period look that suits original interiors where a wall-mounted rad would look out of place.
Are 4 column radiators available at 400mm, 450mm and 500mm heights?

The closest options are the Neo Georgian 4 Column at 360mm (nearest to 400mm), the Victoriana 4 Column at 460mm (nearest to 450mm) and the Neo Georgian at 505mm (nearest to 500mm). Cast iron radiators don't come in every height, but these are the closest available matches.

Are 1800mm vertical 4 column radiators available?

Paladin's 4 column cast iron models reach a maximum height of 960mm on the Neo Georgian. We don't currently offer a cast iron 4 column model at 1800mm. Customers searching for 1800mm column radiators are typically looking for a steel product, which is a different category. For the tallest cast iron option, the 960mm Neo Georgian 4 Column delivers serious output in a substantial height.
Is a 400mm wide 4 column radiator available?

Width in cast iron is configurable by section count rather than being a fixed dimension. Approximately 5 to 6 sections of most 4 column models gives a width of around 400mm. Call us with your exact wall space and we'll calculate the precise section count needed.
Are traditional 4 column cast iron radiators the best for period heating?

Traditional 4 column cast iron radiators are excellent for period heating. The 4 column depth suits the thick walls, high ceilings and draughty windows typical of Victorian and Edwardian properties.
