High Output Cast Iron Radiators

Big room? Cold corner? A space that nothing seems to warm? Our high output cast iron radiators put serious BTUs where you need them. Substantial column depths and tall section options pack the heat without sprawling across your wall.

What high output cast iron radiator options do we offer?

Browse our cast iron radiators range and specify the height and section count that suits your room. For the highest BTU per section, our 4 column cast iron radiators and 6 column cast iron radiators deliver substantial heat in a compact footprint.

Why pick a high output cast iron radiator?

Think about what a single panel rad does in a draughty period room: blasts hot, then cools the moment it cycles off. Cast iron's different. The mass holds and radiates heat for hours after the boiler stops. More columns mean more surface area. More surface area means more heat.

Finish it your way

Match it to any colour we offer, including our Farrow & Ball and Little Greene partnerships. Pair with valves, wall stays and pipe sleeves in your chosen finish.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are high output cast iron radiators worth it for big rooms?
+
Yes, high output cast iron radiators are worth it for big rooms. Substantial heat per section means fewer radiators on the wall, even warmth across the space and heat that lingers long after the boiler clicks off.
Are high output cast iron radiators for sale in different sizes?
+
High output cast iron radiators are available across a wide range of sizes. Specify any height from 350mm to 960mm and any section count from 3 to 40, with 4 or 6 column depths for higher BTU output.
Is a 6 column cast iron radiator higher output than a 4 column?
+
A 6-column cast iron radiator is higher output per section. The extra column depth adds surface area, which adds heat. Both deliver substantial output, but 6 column wins for raw BTUs in the same wall space.
Are the best high output cast iron radiators always the tallest?
+
Taller cast iron radiators are typically higher output. More section height equals more surface area equals more heat. The Churchill is the exception (at 350mm it still puts out 480 BTUs per section thanks to its column depth).
Is high output the same as high efficiency in cast iron radiators?
+
High output and efficiency are not the same thing. High output is total heat delivered. Efficiency in cast iron comes from thermal mass: it keeps radiating warmth long after the boiler stops, so you get more heat for the same boiler runtime.
