Why pick a cast iron column radiator?

Think about what makes a column radiator worth choosing over a flat panel. The column structure gives substantially more surface area per section. More surface area means more heat radiated into the room. Cast iron adds thermal mass: the iron stores heat and keeps radiating after the boiler stops. You get steady, even warmth that lingers rather than the sharp heat-and-cool cycle of a lightweight panel.

Black column radiators are available across our full UK range. Every Paladin column radiator can be finished in matt black, gloss black or near-black shades like Farrow & Ball Off-Black No.57. Black column radiators suit modern, industrial and period interiors.
Are column radiators with feet available?

Yes, column radiators with feet are available. The Victoriana 4 Column stands on four cast iron feet and the Neo Georgian 6 Column stands on rounded cast iron feet. Both are freestanding models suited to period rooms where a wall-mounted look would feel out of place.
Are vertical column radiators good for tall narrow spaces?

Paladin's tallest cast iron column radiators reach 960mm on the Neo Georgian 4 and 6 Column. For narrow vertical spaces, a tall model with a short section count gives height without width. Cast iron sectional radiators don't reach the 1800mm or 2000mm height of steel vertical column radiators.

Electric column cast iron radiators are available across the UK. Paladin offers electric versions across multiple column models. Output from around 420 to 2,800 watts. Thermostatically controlled with app-compatible scheduling available.

Traditional column radiators are excellent for period homes. Cast iron column radiators suit Victorian, Edwardian and Georgian properties both aesthetically and functionally. The thermal mass delivers the slow, steady heat that period rooms with thick walls and high ceilings were designed for.
Are raw metal column radiators available?
