Clarendon Cast Iron Radiator

Some radiator designs come from hospitals, some from grand houses. The Clarendon comes from somewhere a bit different: the corridors of Britain’s oldest schools.

It takes its name from the Clarendon group, a set of historic schools that includes Harrow, Eton and Winchester. We’ve recreated the original design as closely as possible, and it’s hand assembled and finished at our factory in Lincolnshire, backed by a 10 year guarantee.

A Modest Design With Real Character

There’s nothing showy about the Clarendon, and that’s rather the appeal. It has the look of an old school radiator without tipping into anything fussy or overdone.

Does that mean it only suits period buildings? Not at all. Because the design is understated to begin with, it slots into a modern space just as comfortably as it would in a Victorian schoolroom. Whether you’re restoring a period property or fitting out a new build with a nod to the past, the Clarendon tends to work either way.

Available Heights

Two heights are available, giving you a straightforward choice depending on the room.

440mm: a lower profile suited to spaces with restricted wall height or windowsills close to the floor.

740mm: a taller option with more surface area, better suited to larger rooms or higher heat requirements.

Available Sections

Sections run from 3 up to 40, so the Clarendon can be sized to fit almost any run of wall you’ve got in mind. Even longer sizes are available on request.

Compact, 3 to 10 sections: works well in smaller rooms, hallways and bathrooms.

Mid range, 11 to 25 sections: the range most people go for in bedrooms and living rooms.

Extended, 26 to 40 sections: suited to larger rooms or spaces where one long radiator makes more sense than two shorter ones. Even longer sizes are available on request.

Add a section and you’re adding to both length and heat output at the same time, in a fixed step. So getting the size right for your room shouldn’t take much trial and error.
